MOBILE POETRY LAB is a series I started in winter 2011. An on-going series I created originally for the purpose of exhibitions.

They are poems I wrote with IMAGES (instead of TEXT). I worked with existing images I made in the past years from different series of photo based work. As a component to the POEM, every single image was mounted on a piece of wood block in identical size of 2.5 inch square (1.5 inch in height). They have become my large volume of Visual Vocabularies.

Image, like text, serves a primary function. But when they are being put together, the choice and the combination delivers a new layer of meaning.

My idea is, if I travel with a pocket of those image wood blocks, a fresh poem can always be around.
